📖Scripture Focus: Psalms 121: 7-8 (KJV)

“The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.”​

​

As the excitement of costumes, candy, and fun fills the air this week, it’s important to remember that our greatest covering doesn’t come from what we see , it comes from God’s hand of protection.

​

At Prince of Peace, we’re reminded that prayer is our first line of defense. Before your little ones step out, take a moment to pray over them — for safety, discernment, and joy. Teach them to stay close, be aware, and carry the light of Christ wherever they go.

 

Parents, take time to talk with your children about making wise and safe choices whether they’re out for treats, attending events, or spending time with friends. Cover them in prayer before they leave the house, and remind them that God’s protection and presence go wherever they go.​​​

​

A few ways to keep our children safe this week:

• Pray for God’s angels to surround them as they go out and return home.

• Keep activities well-lit and always with trusted adults.

• Encourage kindness, gratitude, and representing Christ even in small interactions.

• Remember , the greatest treat we can give our children is faith over fear and wisdom over worry.

This week, let’s rest in knowing that while the world celebrates in many ways, we stand firm in the truth that God is our refuge, our protector, and our peace.
