🌟 POP’s Weekly Encouragement
A new word of hope every Monday from Prince of Peace Church
This Week's Message –December 15, 2025 through December 22, 2025
✨Hope for Weary Hearts at Christmas✨
📖Scripture Focus: Psalm 34:18 (KJV)
“The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.”
As Christmas draws near, the world around us grows brighter with lights, music, and celebration. Yet for many, this season can feel heavy. Behind the smiles are hearts carrying grief, loneliness, loss, and unspoken pain. This week, God calls us to slow down and truly see one another, with compassion, patience, and love.
At Prince of Peace, we are reminded that Jesus came not only to bring joy, but to heal the brokenhearted and comfort those who mourn. Sometimes the greatest gift we can give isn’t found in a package but it’s our presence, our prayers, and our willingness to listen.
If you are hurting this season, know that you are not forgotten. God sees you, He is near to you, and His love is steady even in the midst of sorrow. And if you feel strong right now, consider who around you may need a kind word, a gentle check-in, or an invitation to fellowship.
💛 This week, let us:
-
Watch for those who may be quietly struggling
-
Extend grace where others may expect cheer
-
Offer hope through kindness, prayer, and compassion
-
Remember that Emmanuel means God with us even in our pain
As we approach Christmas, may our hearts reflect the heart of Christ in his loving, present, and full of mercy. Let us be mindful that healing often begins when someone feels seen and valued. A kind word, a listening ear, a simple prayer, or an invitation to gather can be a lifeline to someone who is hurting.
Whether you are grieving, overwhelmed, or simply weary this season, remember that God meets you right where you are. His love does not depend on your strength. As a church family, we walk together while supporting one another, offering comfort, and pointing each other to the hope found in Christ.
This Christmas season, may we slow down, open our hearts, and become a reflection of His light—bringing peace to the hurting, hope to the weary, and love to all who need it most.
